Expedition UK to MALAWI

About The Expedition

Expedition Africa challenge is a project to deliver two ambulances to Malawi, driving 12,000 miles from London to the tiny African nation. The team of ten, led by Lev Wood will traverse Europe, the Middle East and Africa, through 22 countries, departing on 1st August 2010.

Mission Statement

To conduct an overland expedition from the UK to Malawi with the intention of donating ambulances, medical supplies and other equipment necessary for the successful establishment of the AMECA WING, which is being constructed as a self-financing extension to the Beit CURE International Hospital in Blantyre. The expedition will be undertaken by volunteers on behalf of AMECA. It will seek to raise AMECAs profile and generate publicity for the charity.

    Hi Lev and Team
Sorry to hear about the probs in Egypt and lack of boats up the Nile. I heard that General Gordon had similar probs about 150 years ago. Keep a brave face and stick in there it will come good but probably not on the timescale you hoped for. I believe Backsheesh goes a long way with the Egyptians. Backhander in English.
Having our inaugural Vegetable challenge competition in the garden this afternoon and mum has dug up all of her winning exhibits. Tried to put up the gazeebo but totally knackered after its return from Chomondeley. ta!
Anway that’s another one you owe us. Ruthie is visiting this week so catch up after her call on wednesday. Take care you all out there in the wild west and stay safe.
    Love mum and Dad
    xx
